The Wouxun KG-805M is the perfect MURS radio for both consumer and business use. It is a true professional quality radio with the rugged durability to handle the rigors of daily business operations. It's also license-free!
The Multi-Use Radio Service is a group of 5 VHF frequencies for either business or personal use without a license. The KG-805M features all 5 MURS channels at up to 2 watts of power with 155 CTCSS and DSC privacy tones and codes, channel scan, and adjustable squelch.
Programming the KG-805M is not necessary, can be performed from a PC if needed. Some features can be customized using the optional programming software (free download), such as adding or removing channels or customizing the channel name, bandwidth, or transmit power. It supports up to 128 channels, and receive-only channels can be added for any frequency in the 134-170 MHz range, including NOAA weather channels.
The KG-805M has an LCD display with three backlight color options. Backlight colors can be customized based on transmit, receive or standby. The front panel keys are also backlit and voice prompts assist you with menu navigation.
Want more features? How about a 76-108Mhz FM radio, transmit overtime alarm, low voltage prompt, channel name edit and display, and VOX (Voice Operated Transmit) for hands-free operation! They are all standard on this radio. The 805M is also rated IP55 water resistant, a plus when taking it with you outdoors.
The KG 805M is powered by 7.4v 1700mAh Li-Ion battery pack for many hours of operation. Power Saver Mode helps increase efficiency and preserve battery life.
